Dr Huipeng Li, CEng, FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland), C.WEM, MCIWEM
Dr Huipeng Li is a Chartered Engineer with over 17 years’ experience for both industrial consultant practice and academic research in industries including water and wastewater, oil and gas, chemical and civil engineering. Huipeng is an FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) with considerable experience in quantitative risk assessment and functional safety.
As a functional safety and risk assessment specialist, Huipeng’s expertise lies in consequence analysis, SIL Verification, reliability assessment, Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), hydraulic and pressure transient analysis, environmental impact assessment, reliability modelling and project management. Huipeng has extensive knowledge on international safety standards such as IEC 61508 and IEC 61511, UK’s HSE regulations and ALARP principle for safety risk management. Huipeng has delivered a large number of quantitative risk assessment studies in the UK and the Middle East.
With a background in water engineering, Huipeng also has extensive knowledge and experience in flooding risk assessment underpinned by hydraulic analysis and modelling. He has delivered a considerable number of flooding assessment for various Clients in the UK including Thames Water, Southern Water, Severn Trent Water, United Utilities, Yorkshire Water, Veolia Water, etc.
